Forage Mate, A Fermentation Aid for all Types of Silage, Haylage & Hi Moisture corn

  • Easy To Apply
  • Reduces Heat Buildup
  • Aids Fermentation
  • Feed Silage to livestock in 48-72 hours
  • Helps prevent nutrient losses by reducing runoff and shrinkage
  • Improves digestability
  • Reduces protein destruction through lower fermentation temperatures
  • Inhibits mold and yeast growth
  • Smells good
  • Feed less silage

The secret to preserving Silage, Haylage or High Moisture grains is to drop the acidity level (pH) rapidly and control the mold.Forage mate supplies large numbers of beneficial organisms that produce lactic acid which is essential to good fermentation. Your silage pH is a primary factor in determining the quality of your silage.

Forage Mate action lowers the pH between 3.8 & 4.1 within 12 hours to give the customers ensiled forage EXCELLENT fermentation. Natural fermentation takes from 10 - 45 days. With Forage Mate you can feed your silage in 48 - 72 hours. PH in the 5 - 6 range allows nonbeneficial aerobic bacteria to create Butyric acid. This causes a number of problems, such as yeast and mold growth, the release of water which carries off the nutrients, the burning of the remaining nutrients from excessive heat and eventual spoilage.

Forage Mate aids in the reduction and control of the pH level until the fermentation process is complete. Forage Mate Helps take advantage of the natural ensiling process to retain more of the nutrients.

Forage mate helps inhibit the growth of molds and yeasts, the forage is more palatable. It has a sweet smell and the natural color your forage is retained. There is very little runoff.

A curde protein analysis of your crop will show the amount of protein you've produced, but an ADFN (ACID detergent bound nitrogen) test will show the amount of protein available to the animal. bound Protein is the result of excessive heat.

What benefits can you expect from Forage Mate. Gene Novak of Ord, Neb., has used forage Mate for several years. "With Forage mate, we have no spoilage, mold or burnout. The silage is palatable, it has good color and smells good. since we retain more of the nutrients, the cattle consume less feed and do better. I've tried many silage products in the last 10 years, but none so good as Forage Mate."

Gary Anderson, Lindsay, Neb., says, "With Forage Mate we have no runoff, the silage stays cool, it has excellent color and we can feed less."

The application rates for fresh ground grains will keep the grain from molding up to 2 weeks. Outside temperature and humidity should be considered. When temperature or humidity is high, add 1/2 lb more product for each moisture level

Correct product application and rate of application to silage and high moisture grains is essential to achieve the best results. Since the manufacutrer and sales representatives have no application control of the product, said manufacturer and sales representatives are to be held harmless in the use of the product.
