What is Quick Start 1 Paste?
Quick Start 1 is a
combination Yeast Culture and microbial gel with vitamins. This product is
designed to feed the ruminant animal intestinal bacteria as well as supply additional
microbial bacteria to sick or low energy level animals. Sucrose and Glucose are
included to "jump start" the bacteria restored to the intestine where it can grow
and help restore the optimal balance in the gut.
Century Hill Industries Yeast Cultures are designed to feed and increase the microbial
population whereas microbial bacteria or Probiotics are used to repopulate the intestine
or stomach. Our Yeast Culture helps feed the bacteria .
Yeast Cultures & microbial bacteria supplementation are especially useful under
high stress conditions. It is well known that stress reduces the number of beneficial
intestinal microflora (bacteria) and upsets the balance between beneficial and non
beneficial or pathogenic microflora (bacteria).
As long as the proper balance of beneficial microflora to non-beneficial or pathogenic
microflora exists, the intestinal tract functions essentially as it should. If this
balance is upset and the beneficial microflora are reduced or lose their competitive
edge, predisposition to various diseases can occur as well as reduced feed efficiency.
What does Quick Start 1 Paste contain?
Ingredients: Lactic acid Bacteria, Minimum. (L. acidophillus, L. Casei, L. fermentum,
L. planterum, S. faceium) Total .. 50 million CFU/ml yeast culture, vegetable oil,
Niacin supplement, Vitamin A Supplement, Vitamin E supplement, D-Calcium Pantothenate,
Riboflavin Supplement, Sucrose, Glucose, Vitamin B-12 Supplement Vitamin D3 Supplement,
Thiamine HCI, Dried Whey, Sodium Sulfate, Citric Acid, Flavoring agent. Monosodium
Phosphate,
Shown below is a laboratory control and treatment test with and without the yeast
culture in the microbial bacteria (probiotics). By including Century Hill
Industries yeast culture with the beneficial microbial bacteria, we have
increased the cfu/gm (colony forming units) in a 48 hour period by 24 times from
day 0 over the test with just the straight microbial bacteria.

Why should I Use Quick Start 1 Paste?
Shipping, adverse weather, overcrowding, or ration changes can trigger a stress
reaction in your animal. These conditions cause the lactic acid producing bacteria
numbers to decrease which will cause production losses to occur, - such as decreased
feed consumption, lowered gain, and reduced feed efficiency.
Research and field trials show that Quick Start 1 can:
- Stimulate appetite
- Improve feed efficiency
- Improve daily gains
- Inhibit many potential disease causing bacteria
- Increase milk/meat yield
- Help relieve stressful situations
Give your animals more of what they need!
|
What are some of types of stress?
- Surgery or Heavy and/or prolonged antibiotic therapy.
- Shipping and/or fatigue
- Concurrent diseases or surgery
- Adverse weather conditions, hot, wet, cold.
- Feedlot processing, vaccinations, dehorning, deworming, castration.
- Intense concentration of animals.
- Intense feeding practices.
- Animals born and raised in contaminated environments or small pens.
- Poor quality feed
Yeast cultures and Probiotics are administered to restore the proper microflora
balance. When to use Quick Start 1
- Newborn animals, to stimulate appetite and to increase the beneficial microflora
which help offset disease and diarrhea
- Postparturition animals suffering effects from postpartum problems can be given
the paste to stimulate appetite and maintain lactation.
- Hospital pen. Animals moved to pens for intensive treatment are extremely stressed
and suffer a loss of lactic acid bacteria due to heavy antibiotic use. Administer
one dose on day one and two, then as required.
- Incoming feedlot animals. To stimulate the appetite and offset transportation stress,
administer one dose on day one and two, then as required.
- Shipping. 24 hours prior to transporting animals, administer paste to each animal.
- Feedlot processing, administer one dose during the processing, then as required
after that.
- At any time stress or illness is involved.
After the administration of the paste product QUICK START if you include Century
Hill Industries B2000, or Century Hill Industries B2000-PLUS, in your feed rations,
these Yeast Cultures products are designed to feed and increase the beneficial intestinal
microbial count which can improve the animals health and helps with feed efficiency.
How do I use Quick Start 1 Paste?
