EQUION® is vitamin, mineral supplement with Century Hill Industries'
Yeast Culture added. The carrier for these ingredients is dehydrated alfalfa. The
yeast culture that we manufacture aids the feed digestion in horses by increasing
the natural bacteria in the animals cecum which in turn breaks down the fiber and
makes more of the nutrients available to the animal.
When the supplement is included in the ration, you will find that horses with a
deficient red blood count will increase significantly within 2-3 weeks and the blood
parameters will recover quickly after a race. In general, the yeast culture helps
improve the overall health of the horse. The yeast culture is non toxic and has
been tested by Standard Research clinic for mutagen's, drugs and antibiotics. The
tests were negative.
The following is a list of things we find the yeast culture helps to improve. Some
of the items listed below are testimonials from horse owners and veterinarians,
others are documented.
- An improved hair coat in 7 to 10 days, depending upon the overall condition of the
horse. In winter, the hair is short but will be very thick. Many horse coats will
"dapple" .
- Hoofs show a better texture along with improved growth. (They trim more often)
- Increase in red blood count. For Documentation, click here
- Stimulation of appetite for picky eaters. (Racetrack)
- Increased stamina. (Racetrack, endurance riders)
- Trainers say the horse is more "attentive" in a training session.
- A reduction of crude fiber in the fecal matter.
- Mares cycle earlier in the spring and usually conceive on the first standing. (Veterinarians)
- Mares that have not been bred in 2 or 3 years will "take" on the first service providing
there are no uterine problems. (Veterinarians)
- Mares uterus seem to have a better "tone". (Veterinarians)
- Ease of birth and the mares "clean out". (Veterinarians)
- Substantial increase in the quantity of mares milk. (Veterinarians)
- An increase in stallion sperm motility and mobility. No increase in sperm count.
(Veterinarians)
- Foals appear to have better bone development. (Veterinarians and trainers)

I have been feeding the Equion vitamins for 9 months and have been very pleased
with the results. My seven year old thoroughbred/quarter cross mare had a lack of
energy and was staying underweight. I could see a difference in her energy level
within the first 2 weeks and was able to cut her feed by one-third within the first
2 months. Her hooves are staying in incredibly good shape and she is still calm
in the warm up pen with good stamina in the working arena. Her weight and muscle
tone has improved beyond belief. This is the first supplement I have ever used with
such quick results. I own an arena and boarding stable and have had a boarder's
cutting horse with extremely poor hooves. After one month on the hoof supplement
along with the Equion vitamins the farrier and owner could see significant results.
The farrier was coming to replace a shoe every 1 to 2 weeks. After the first month
we started to see new growth and after 5 months of use this horse has not had a
hoof problem in the past 3 months. This mare is now on a normal farrier program
of every 6 weeks with good strong hooves. The Equion vitamins have proven to be
very effective with my performance horses including roping and barrel racing horses.
This is by far the best supplement I have ever tried. Sincerely, Roe Ann Logan,

I have been using the Equion vitamin supplement in my head horses feed for the last
two months. I have seen an incredible performance change. It has given him speed
and endurance without making him hot, or uncontrollable. He's been leaving the box
harder, running to cattle better and his overall performance has improved quite
dramatically. My horse has never looked better, his coat is slicker and shiner than
it has ever been before. I will say that Equion is the best supplement that I have
ever used. Truly a performance horse supplement .

is the best by a big margin - writes Connie Combs Kirby, the only cowgirl to ever
win two consecutive SPRA World championship titles on two different horses. "In
the fifteen years I've been feeding vitamins and supplements to my horses, I've
found there is good, better, and best to be bought. EQUION® is
the best by a wide margin. When horses are hauled as hard as mine are, you have
to use something to give them the stamina and vigor to keep on winning. EQUION®
is that 'something'. Add to this the plus of solid hooves and great hair coat and
condition, and EQUION® cannot be equaled." - Connie Combs Kirby

EQUION® produces better fiber and grain utilization than any other
supplement on the market. EQUION® was shown to neutralize and stabilize
the pH (acidity balance) in the horse's digestive system, resulting in a far greater
efficiency in digestion. EQUION® raises and maintains the blood
hemoglobin count better than any other supplement on the market. Stallions fed
EQUION® have also shown to eliminate nutritionally induced scours and
colic. - Dr. Bud Willis, DVM - |

Dear Enzion Labs: In September of last year, I purchased a throughbred named Hatchen
that had excellent bloodlines. The horse was in poor health and very thin. The HGB
was 6.5. I had heard the claims of others and decided to try your Equion®
on Hatchen. By Novermber, the blood count was 15, the hair coat was dappled and
the eyes were bright. In December, he raced twice for second place and once for
first place. Sincerely, Daphne Collings, Trainer |

Equion® has improved stamina and consistently on 50 and 100 mile
endurance horses. Stallions have shown definite increase in sperm motility and a
decrease in sperm abnormalities, plus these stallions maintained or gained weight
during heaving breeding schedules. -Dr. Todd Nelson, D.V.M., Fair Oaks, California |
Yeast Cultures
CENTURY HILL INDUSTRIES' YEAST CULTURE starts with Saccharomyces Cerevisiae. We
use this yeast because strains of Saccharomyces Cerevisiae are facultative (aerobes/anaerobes)
a property not shared by many other yeasts and it has a high vitamin and enzyme
content. After the yeast culture process is completed and when it is fed to the
animal, the yeast culture releases its valuable nutrients, enzymes and biologically
active micro-nutrients within the digestive tract, of both ruminant and non-ruminant,
and is contributing enzymatically to the animal. Yeast culture synthesizes many
proteins and secretes all essential amino acids. (Kelly, 1985; Smith et al, 1985).
Yeast is protected by a substantial cell wall thickness that may constitute as much
as 30% of the weight of the yeast. The yeast contains approximately 50% protein,
40% carbohydrate, 2% fat and 8% ash. Providing we can open the cell wall, the yeast
has a high digestibility and biological value. (Murlinet al, 1944) The yeast contains
more than ten water soluble vitamins including para amino benzoic acid which is
a growth factor for bacteria. Miscellaneous unidentified compounds of the B vitamin
complex, essential for bacterial growth, have been isolated in yeast. These compounds
are of little use or value if the yeast cell cannot be "lysed" (broken open). When
the yeast cell is lysed and then cultured on the media, the media then contains
many active enzymes and growth factors for other bacterial growth. Trace elements,
vitamins and minerals also play a part in this process. Yeast has a requirement
for several metal ions. When culturing the yeast, we enrich the yeast with a range
of vitamins and minerals. EQUION® is a registered trademark of

The Secret?
EQUION® is a unique blend of yeast, vitamins and minerals that
are cultured in a stable medium and then dried on wheat bran. The special yeast
culture used in EQUION® is manufactured by Century Hill Industries
Inc., and is the primary ingredient, which makes EQUION® a superior
product for horses. This special supplement is then blended with dehydrated alfalfa
(contains no rice hulls or corn cobs) to give you the very best product available
today for equine supplement requirements. EQUION® has been developed
by Century Hill Industries and researched by Dr. Robert McCullough DVM, founder
of McCullough Cartwright Pharmaceutical Corporation. Dr. McCullough's work and other
testing has resulted in the many positive results listed below. For complete results
of this research, please click on the RBC Research Documentation link in the box
in the right-hand column of this page. When used as directed, performance results
are usually observed within 5 to 10 days, unlike most products, which may take,
a month or two before horse performance shows some change.
- Improved hair coat in 7 to 10 days depending on the overall condition of the horse.
- Increased appetite, feed efficiency and weight gain if desired. Increased and prolonged
stamina/performance.
- Increased hoof growth.
- Lowered undigested crude fiber in the manure.
- Marked decrease in "belly" size.
- Brood mares show a reduction in "retained placenta problems".
- Increased colostrum milk production.
- "Aerobic Metabolism" as related to muscle metabolism is improved, which gives prolonged
exercise. This is due to extra oxygen being delivered to metabolize glycogen, glucose
and free fatty acids completely into CO2 and water.
- Horses just "Look better and appear to be better fit".
Based on numerous years of development and testing, we usually see an increase of
+13 to 14% HEMOGLOBIN LEVELS and+ 17 to 18% RED BLOOD CELL COUNTS RBC Research Documentation
